Job Description

Who are we:
Go-Ahead London is the largest provider of bus services in London. We employ over 7,500 staff working from 16 locations. Our Recruitment & Training department provides a key support role for our operational locations in ensuring that we recruit and train sufficient drivers to maintain our services to the highest possible standard.


Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and manage a register of DBS checks.

Completing appropriate eligibility and suitability checks for applicants who applied for the Go-Ahead London’s apprenticeship programme.

Facilitating the identification or creation of Unique Learner Numbers/Employer Reference Numbers to meet the data requirements.

Responsible for monitoring and analysing meaningful data extracted from the Apprenticeships Learner Management System.

Liaising with employers to enable accurate and timely DAS (Digital Apprenticeship Service) set-up

Deputise for the Funding Co-ordinator to ensure the timely and effective drawdown of funds from the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

Keep up to date with Apprenticeship funding requirements

Raising queries with Education & Skills Funding Agency for funding issues where applicable

Liaising with internal colleagues throughout Go-Ahead London to resolve queries

Providing team support for operational and administrative procedures related to the delivery of Apprenticeships.

Qualifications:
We are looking for a dynamic individual who has experience in audit, compliance and MIS for apprenticeship providers. Knowledge of PDSAT & Maytas and processing, validating, and submitting ILR returns. Can work under pressure on their own initiative ensuring that the tasks allocated to them are completed to a high standard and within the deadlines set; the ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills coupled with good communication skills and a polite and confident telephone manner. They must be able to compile data and reports and analyse the reports whilst having the confidence to make decisions within the scope of your responsibility and always refer to a Senior person if unsure. Additionally, you will be able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively, be proficient in Word and Excel, be naturally analytical and enjoy working with data. Proven experience within an administration or data handling role is required and a knowledge of Apprenticeships and funding regulations would be a distinct advantage.

This role will be full time 5 days a week. The annual salary will be £27,000 per annum based upon a 38-hour week. The successful applicant would need to have a flexible approach to start and finish times to meet business requirements. There may be an occasional requirement to work at weekend and you will be required to undertake a DBS check.
