Administration Officer Governance

Temporary Fixed Term (12 months), Full Time Position

Salary range $61,888 to $65,964 per annum, plus 9.5% superannuation

Do you like to dot the ‘i’s’ and cross the ‘t’s’ and want to be a part of a high performing team?

Your duties will include assisting in the preparation of policies and procedures, meeting/briefing agendas and minutes and arranging their distribution. You will be an approachable and collaborative person who will attend Council Meetings/Assemblies/Committees to record and publish minutes. Working with limited supervision, you will have an eye for detail whilst being able to meet strict deadlines. Your other functions will be to assist in the administration of general governance responsibilities including: maintaining and updating databases including policy and procedure registers, intranet pages and risk related systems as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications and experience

Experience in a Governance and/or quality management / assurance administration environment.

Experience in being part of a broader administration team delivering quality services within strict timelines and to a high standard.

A relevant Administrative qualification or relevant experience in a range of reception / clerical / administrative roles in an office environment, ideally within the areas of Local Government, Governance or the Public Sector.

Experience in preparing and administering technical and complicated ‘minutes’ and ‘agendas’,

Experience in the development of ‘policies’ and/or ‘procedures’

Knowledge and understanding of quality management systems

Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to the team environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills that deliver high levels of customer service.

Demonstrated experience in the operation of a variety of Windows based applications and databases.

Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
