Position Name: Administrative Assistant (NOC- 1241)

Term of Employment: Full Time Permanent Position (No of position- 1) (33 – 35 hours a week)

Job Duties

Type, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, reports, and related material

Open and distribute incoming and outgoing electronic mail and other material, internally amongst departments and externally with other organizations.

Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer

Order office supplies and maintain inventory

Answer telephone, electronic or in-person enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages accordingly

Determine and establish office procedures and maintain computerized and manual filing systems

Greet visitors; provide business information and direct customer to appropriate personnel or departments within the business.

Record and prepare minutes for business meetings and conferences.

Provide general office support for the employer and other employees

Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Job Requirements

Completion of high school is preferred

Completion of one or two- year college program for administrative assistants or secretaries OR Previous experience in clerical services.
