THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.



The Welsh Blood Service, Laboratory Services department requires an Administrative Assistant to provide 12 months maternity leave cover. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual to provide administrative support to Laboratory Services team. Key aspects of this role will include providing administrative support, scheduling and preparing documentation for meetings & training events, responding to emails, actioning payroll information, responding to telephone enquiries and assisting with the day-to-day running of the office.

It is essential that the successful candidate is logical in the presentation of their work and possess excellent time management skills. The candidate must show enthusiasm for new challenges and be both flexible and adaptable in their approach. They will need to have flair for maintaining a robust administrative system, demonstrate a high level of IT skills (specifically using Microsoft Office packages), be disciplined in their approach to their work, but also be flexible and willing to learn and adapt, in a fast paced environment.
