Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator, with outstanding communication and organisation skills to join the professional team in the FoWI. In this role you will provide high level executive support for John Curtin Distinguished Professor and ARC Laureate Fellow, Sharon Parker. Working as a core member of the operations team you will also provide administrative support for the institute related to research projects, HDR student support, training and events.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Executive support including extensive diary management
Management and recording of research, engagement and impact activities on various platforms
Coordinating the content, publishing and distribution of reports and other documentation
Arranging meetings and providing administrative support for research projects
Providing operational support for internal and industry events
Providing local administrative support for HDR students in collaboration with the Faculty and Graduate Research School

Demonstrated experience in and ability to coordinate the administrative requirements of a functional area.
Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft suite of applications.
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines.
Demonstrated effectiveness in both oral and written communication with a well-developed cross-cultural sensitivity and diplomacy.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience in a tertiary education environment.
