Reporting to the HHRIS Manager within the Human Resources Department, the Administrative Officer 1B supports the entire region and acts as a system supervisor of the Human Resources Information systems, including Virtuo HR. The incumbent provides ongoing support and direction to all Virtuo HR system users, resolves issues, and supports the continued development of the HRIS throughout the organization while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and detail. Considered a subject matter expert in HRIS, the Administrative Officer 1B is responsible for creating, maintaining, and synchronizing data within both Meditech and Virtuo HR as well as generating reports, conducting data audits and managing system updates. More specifically, the incumbent is responsible for administering and entering/processing payroll changes as they relate to position, department, status, leave, step progression and other specialty payroll functions including but not limited to retroactive payments, experience credits, and management differentials. In addition to administering and managing such changes, the incumbent is responsible for managing mass salary updates and changes and provides advice and guidance to system users on such procedures.

The position is responsible for training new account users and participates in special projects related to HR systems and any other projects that may be required. Such projects may include but are not limited to position control number initiatives and job evaluation and job code developments. Due to the nature of the position spanning across the entire organization, the incumbent is required to work collaboratively across all departments, and may be required to fulfill other duties as required by the employer.

A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in data entry AND data management demonstrating a strong working knowledge of payroll, accounting, and HR programs. The ideal candidate will have completed, at minimum, a post secondary diploma in an appropriate field/discipline. The candidate must have a strong ability to work independently and demonstrate the ability to manage and maintain high volumes of information in a timely manner. They must be extremely detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy. The successful candidate will also demonstrate an ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.

Hours of Work: 75 Hours per pay period

Monday to Friday (Flexible hours outside these days may be required)

Salary Scale: $48,769.50 to $54,151.50 per Annum
