APPLICATION TRAINING SPECIALIST



Conifer Realty continues to grow in Property Management, Affordable Housing

The Application Training Specialist is responsible for development and execution of the Yardi and other technical training needs of the organization, primarily focusing on the site employee development needs. The Trainer will develop, deliver and implement ongoing training for Yardi and other software as required.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
Minimum 2+ years Yardi Voyager Affordable software experience required, preferably including field training or user support.

Minimum 3+ years of experience in the housing industry desired with affordable housing compliance knowledge preferred (LIHTC, HUD, RD, others).

Thorough understanding of a variety of computer software including word processing, desktop publishing, databases, spreadsheets, accounting programs and the internet.

Experience in assessing training skill for individuals and groups.

Excellent training/presentation skills

Ability to travel weekly across Conifer’s portfolio of properties in four states as scheduled.

Base Office for the position can be in one of Conifer’s Regional Offices (Rochester, Syracuse, Copiague NY or Mt. Laurel, NJ or Columbia MD).

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES NEEDED:
Excellent MSOffice skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as other companywide computer software including but not limited to Yardi and the Internet.

Minimum Associates Degree in Business, Organizational Development, Business Communications or related field desired; Bachelors’ degree a plus. High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.

Certifications helpful or willing to obtain: COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist), TCS (Tax Credit Specialist), AHM (Assisted Housing Manager), Star (Rural Development 515), HCCP (Housing Credit Certified Professional), Fair Housing.

Conduct live and virtual one-on-one and/or group technical training throughout the Conifer organization with a primary focus on the Yardi software. Training needs may include support for new hires, for employees in new roles or with new assignments, and for organization-wide Yardi training on new software updates, programs, or company-wide information technology (IT) Yardi system changes or policies.

Develop training courses, educational aids, quick reference guides, and other materials to be used in workshop, group, and one-on-one training sessions, including enhancing current on-line Yardi training course materials.

Assesses participants’ learning performance; identifying the need for additional, specialized, or adaptive instruction.

Maintain current knowledge of IT Yardi system modifications, development of new software programs or services, and other pertinent changes in both our software and the housing industry that may drive training needs and curriculum.

Ability to patiently explain technical materials to less technically proficient users.

Ability to exercise good business professionalism and business judgment at all times.

Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills with excellent attention to details.

Flexibility – able to prioritize projects and adapt work projects quickly when needed.

Able to work both independently and as a team.

Flexibility to travel on a weekly basis by plane or automobile as scheduled for planned onsite training sessions, regional meetings, conferences, other training, etc.

Reliable automobile with valid drivers’ license and valid auto insurance policy required.
