Assistant Management Accountant Job at St Christophers Fellowship – in London

Job Description

Salary: £35-40k per annum

Working Hours: 37.5 hours / week (open to flexible working requests)

Location: Flexible to work remotely or be office-based, with periodic requirement to work at Putney office SW15.

We are recruiting for an Assistant Management Account to oversee our rent ledger and bank reconciliations, and assist with the production of monthly management accounts.

About the Role

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are:
To review utilities and other split invoices, and make sure they are accurately posted to the relevant cost centre on a timely basis.

To post and allocate rental income to sales ledger on a timely basis.

To prepare fortnightly rental statements and share with managers.

To reconcile main bank account on a weekly basis.

To reconcile credit card expenditure, and make sure it is accurately posted.

To post month end journals (fixed, variable and one-off) on a timely basis, making sure they are hyperlinked and described adequate to form an audit trail.

To run and send out tailored monthly reports, such as those for maintenance, carebank and fundraising.

To act as first point of contact for any mispostings, and post correcting journals.

To act as first point of contact for any housing matters, resolve queries and develop nonfinance staff as required.

Applicants should have

AAT qualification or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

IT skills, including accounting packages and intermediate Excel

Strong planning and organisation skills to meet deadlines

Ability to investigate, anticipate and identify potential problems and develop workable solutions

Collaborative team player, contributing to positive morale and staff development

Strong relationship building skills and ability to business partner with nonfinance

Analytical skills and ability to reconcile independently

Commitment to learning and development of self and others

Ability to identify and implement continuous improvements to systems and processes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Recruitment Process
