The position is an AVP level trading assistant position supporting the Equity Front Office desks; performing Middle office functions such as reconciling trades, addressing all trade life cycle issues, running T-1 trader P&L and processing any trade related activity i.e. corporate actions, buy ins etc.

Description
Responsibilities include:
Support day to day trade operations/settlements; ensure accuracy and swift resolution
Run trader P&L, Trade capture/validation
Analysis and resolution of trade discrepancies across internal systems and external counterparties
Daily monitoring of excess/deficits activity
Support the Equity Front Office desks within a trade confirmation/settlements capacity
Review and action Possession and Control 15c3-3 activity
Buy in processing; REG SHO
Review and resolve failing trade activity
Investigate & resolve cash and stock reconciliation issues
Maintain superior client service skills (Internal and External clients)
Address settlement/position discrepancies; appropriate desk/Manager for prompt resolution
Adhere to all rules, regulations and procedures that govern this role and organization
Profile
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and/or attributes:
High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An overall knowledge of Equities and Fixed Income products (exotic derivatives a plus i.e. IRS,FX,Futures)
Understand and/or have knowledge of how to process Corporate Actions
Motivated self-starter, fast learner who is able to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment
Knowledge of ADP/BPS, DTCC, Obligation Warehouse, SmartTrack, Ascendis (Possession & Control)
Experience working as Prime Brokerage trading support/operations
Minimum of 4 years of Middle Office/Operations experience – previous TA experience preferred
Minimum of a BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience
