Vacancies have arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Male Healthcare Assistants to join our experienced and friendly team. Phoenix Ward is a purpose built, 12-bedded male Low secure service at Herschel Prins Centre on the Glenfield Hospital site. The unit offers an intensive and diverse service for forensic mental health for service users across the East Midlands as part of IMPACT (New care Model).
Phoenix ward is an ideal environment for individuals wishing to develop their skills in managing some often very challenging situations. The experience can offer the right person an opportunity to develop and enhance their skills in relation to providing an evidence-based service. Equally important will be your ability to offer a kind and caring approach.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

For all substantive roles the appointment of every new member of staff (excluding medical and dental staff) to a post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, details of which are in our Probation Policy.
