Buying Admin Assistant Job at Long Tall Sally in London E1
Based in a stunning office in buzzing Aldgate East, our Head Office is the creative and operational hub of the business. It is here that all fashion design, buying selections, fit sessions and all branding decisions are made, as well as providing the infrastructure and network support to our online and catalogue operations.
As a Buyers Admin Assistant, you will provide effective administration support to the Buying Team and contribute to decisions on the product range. We need someone energetic, bringing excellent organisational and communication skills. You must be IT literate, creative and ready to build a career in Buying. This role is ideally suited to someone with previous experience at BAA level or fashion/buying related qualification, hungry to pursue a career within Buying.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide efficient administrative support to Buying team, across all categories.
Set up critical path each season and assist with Buy Sheets when necessary.
Run all order processing and sample approvals for the department, and issue orders to suppliers.
Ensure the correct information is created in an accurate and timely way on the Product Management System (PIM)
Take ownership of ordering, recording and tracking couriers.
Create initial order set up of purchase orders. Hand over to merchandising in line with the critical path
Organise, prepare and chase up samples to support photo shoots, Monday trade meetings, buying meetings, and PR and VM guidelines meetings
Resolve any buying related queries with Assistant Buyer.
Ensure ticketing/ labels are ordered on time.
Manage samples and products that come into the business. Ensuring that selected samples arrive on time and are recorded. Keeping garment rails, sample room and shelves organised and tidy
Chase development and fit samples in line with agreed critical path.
Carry out web checks, reporting issues where necessary.
Carry out competitive shops and price comparisons.
Identify Best and Worst Sellers
Attend weekly meetings with the Merchandise Assistant and Garment Tech Assistant concerning deliveries, critical path and quality issues.
General ad hoc duties as required.

Creative flair, with a fashion/buying related degree.
