Randstad Professionals is looking for a Calibration Specialist for a major client based in Luterbach.

Contract period: 6 months

Start date: 01.01.2021

The Calibration specialist is responsible for supporting and execute all the calibration activities for the Luterbach manufacturing site. The purpose of this role is to provide high level of technical expertise needed to support daily calibration activities, operations team and equipment related issues during manufacturing campaigns, in full compliance with Safety, Quality, and Compliance. The campus of Luterbach consists of a Central Utilities Building, Warehouse, manufacturing building BMC’s, and related supporting buildings and equipment.

Your responsibilities:
Supports all the calibration activities linked to manufacturing

Write and review calibration procedures, work instruction, job plan, calibration work order

Actively participate to technical training for technicians

Investigates instrumentation failures and implements changes to avoid future occurrences

Publish metrics reports on calibration on-time performance and open issue

Main Tasks:
Supports all the calibration activities linked to manufacturing Assist junior personnel in the completion of scheduled and corrective calibrations Tracks calibration systems through the DeltaV / AMS control systems

Investigates instruments failures / out of tolerance (Remedial Action Reporting) and serves as system expert for troubleshooting instruments and repairs

Responds to adverse conditions and implements corrective actions to restore instrument to normal operation

Actively participate to technical training for technicians Provides commissioning, validation, engineering support

Participate to instrumentation criticality risk assessment, CMMS data, hierarchy, calibration strategy Oversees accuracy and improvements to the calibration management database CMMS to ensure consistency, compliance with internal procedures and overall cGMP compliance Reviews data obtained during calibrations for OOT conditions requiring the creation of OOT

Ensure instrument documentation and procedures are up to date and accurate.

Establish & maintain procedures / work instruction / job plan and technical training related to the Calibration Program that ensures compliance to EHS and cGMP’s. Publish metrics reports on calibration on-time performance and open issue

If you are interested to take on these responsibilities you should have the following requirements:

Automation, Electro or Electronic engineer, Medicine Pharma-Technik Dipl., Elektroniker, Control and Regulation Dipl. with experience in startup of facilities.

5 years of successful project management experience on mid-sized and major projects for Instrumentation with high complexity in the chemical, biotech-or pharmaceutical industry.

Proven experience and knowledge in calibration, measurement technology, and controls with delta V / AMS system.

Excellent communication & listening, writing skills.

English in written and spoken fluently (German / French is a plus).

Good leadership and interpersonal skills, self-motivated Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience Team player prepared to work in a team-based culture within the manufacturing teams

Ability to think and act cross-functionally, interacting with experts, SME’s, engineers etc.

Able to work in a fast and dynamic environment with a high emphasis on achieving results

Must be able to provide solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implications

Demonstrated ability in technical writing, describing complex processes and qualifications and to translate it into clear, precise reports
