Cask Handler – Salary – £37,812 inc. shift allowance, + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

About The Cask Handler Role

As a Whisky Maturation Operator within our dedicated teams at Cluny, you’ll play a pivotal role in the whisky supply process and will oversee and control the safe movement of spirit within an established set of process procedures.
You’ll support a range of operator activities on site. At Cluny, our whisky maturation operators are responsible for safely storing casks (barrels) of new make spirit on pallets and preparing casks of mature whisky for blending.
The role holder is required to handle casks using stacker and rotator machines (full training will be provided to the successful candidate). You will be required to band the casks safely and securely for storage, as well as complete all paperwork in relation to HMRC and adhere to HMRC guidelines. Key to this role is to support the growth and safety of the site and push forward new innovative ideas to support improvement projects.
Skills and proficiency are things that matter to Diageo, and so we’d love to hear from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experience who are excited about transferring those skills into a Whisky maturation environment.
Shift rota is based on a 3-shift pattern – Dayshift 06.00 – 14.00, Backshift 14.00 – 22.00 and Nightshift 22.00 – 06.00, Monday to Friday. (Nightshift starts on a Sunday night).
