Clinical Trial Assistant – SSR Graduate Entry Program
Southern Star Research is a leading Australian, privately owned, CRO based in Sydney. We specialise in providing clinical research services to a range of clients across the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology markets in Australia and New Zealand.
Due to the successful intake of our previous Clinical Trial Assistants (CTA), continued growth, and a strong project pipeline, we are providing an opportunity for two enthusiastic, driven, medical/life sciences graduates to become part of our talented CTA team. The successful applicant will be supported to develop their skills as part of our SSR Graduate Entry Pathway, for Clinical Research. The role is based in our Sydney head office and offers a fantastic development pathway into clinical research so if you’re interested in joining an innovative, exciting, Australian owned CRO, we’d love to talk to you.
Reporting to the Clinical Trials Administration Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Supporting Project Managers to create and maintain the Trial Master File (TMF), TMF tracking documents and other essential document templates for the project team.
Attend Study Team meetings as required whilst also assisting with the Ethics/Governance Submissions process associated with a study;
Provide administrative support to all project team members (PM/SCRA/CRA);
Photocopy, print, distribute and retrieve project related documentation; maintain basic quality control procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy and completeness of study documents;
Coordinate archiving of electronic project files at the end of the project; and
Build clinical trial knowledge and therapeutic area knowledge through clinical and scientific literature review, ongoing awareness of industry practices and participation in professional activities.
Successful completion of the SSR Graduate Entry Program training will provide opportunities to transition into a CRA role.
To be successful in the role, we’re looking for candidates with:
An interest in developing a career in Clinical Research;
Excellent planning and organisational skills, attention to detail, the ability to collaborate as a team, work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment with competing projects and deadlines;
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
High degree of computer literacy specifically experienced in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Web-Browser applications and capable of learning new systems.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in the medical, pharmaceutical, science or healthcare disciplines. Additional postgraduate qualifications preferable but not essential.
