Job Description

Fixed term contract for 12 months.



Working a Double Day Shift (37.5 hours per week) – Monday to Thursday: 6AM till 2PM and Friday: 6AM till 11:30AM and Monday to Thursday: 2PM till 10PM and Friday: 11:30AM till 5PM

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

To work as part of a team, to produce quality finished goods from semi-finished goods components, in a safe and efficient manner in line with business demands.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the manufacture of hand compiled finished goods using semi-finished goods components.

Responsible for forming all packaging in line with completing finished goods.

To ensure that all finished goods are produced with zero waste.

The candidate must have superior attention to detail.

Responsible for reading, understanding and working to packing specifications.

The candidate will be required to work as part of a team and will be focussed on the team delivery of objectives.

The candidate must be flexible as the team will need to be reactive to customer demands.

Responsible for delivering finished goods to challenging but achievable deadlines.

To ensure that daily production targets are achieved (e.g. OEE, Waste, Health and Safety).

Responsible for the completion of all necessary paper work accurately and in a timely manner, to ensure all production stoppages and efficiencies are recorded.

Ensure any quality and safety issues in the manufacturing process are reported to the Team Leader or Senior Production Operative (SPO), to ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken.

Responsible for standard quality line checks and liaise with SPO to take corrective action.

Ensuring that safe working practices and good housing keeping standards are adhered to.

Have a flexible approach to work and when necessary work across different tasks and functions including both the Tea and Coffee Factories.

Work in close partnership with fellow Compilation Operatives to promote shared knowledge, transfer of skills and experience.

Develop relationships, working practices and effective communication channels with colleagues within other departments, working together in the joint ownership of any issues and problem solving activities.

Promote and work within the Key Behaviours in all tasks that are completed to ensure that the organisation can strive to achieve its Core Purpose.

Take an active role in identifying personal training needs and show an enthusiasm to learn and develop with the role of Compilation Operative.

Ensure that you follow and adhere to Company Policies and Procedures (e.g. Hygiene Policy and the Attendance Policy)
