The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution at SCI Albion is seeking a highly motivated and dependable Corrections Stock Clerk to join our staff.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Stock Clerk for the Department of Corrections, you will handle the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies for your assigned institution.
You will be responsible for inventorying stock and receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. You will be training and monitoring inmate workers in the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies. You will be preparing routine reports and operating motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
Work hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Necessary Special Requirement:
This position requires a possession of an active PA noncommercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
