Position: Cross Country Pipeline Superintendant – Runcorn

Purpose of the Role

To plan, coordinate, supervise, perform and record maintenance activities on the cross-country pipelines maintained by the client to a scheme of examination compliant with PSR 1996

Responsibilities

* The maintenance of buried pipelines and associated equipment, to include but not be limited to:

* Routine trip and alarm testing of instrument/electrical/ communications systems at stations along the route of the pipeline

* Management and control of work adjacent to pipelines

* Supervision and control of Civil/Mechanical and Electrical contractors employed by the client.

* Work control permit issue

* Liaison with Landowners/Occupiers, Contractors, utilities, Local authorities and Emergency services

* Easement management to include line walking the entire route of the pipelines on an annual basis and regular road patrols

* Project work, both planned and unplanned

* Inclusion in a small team providing continuous rostered emergency and maintenance cover, 24/7 on a rota for the ethylene network

KPI’s

* Line walking plan carried out to program

* Visit program carried out to plan

* Annual key contact ‘visits’ carried out

* Routine compliance

* Third party activities, control of work within the pipeline zone of interest

* EHSS compliance with audits and actions

* Codally required planned work must be managed alongside a high level of emergent work. The size of team available to do this is small, so judicious planning becomes essential.

Education and Training

A high level of IT literacy is required.

Specific training will be given in specialized IT systems relevant to the role (SAP/GIS, SCADA, etc.)

A clean driving license, the role typically requires driving 25,000 miles per annum

Pipeline Emergency Response Officer (PERO) training provide

Experience

* Supervisory experience required for this role

* Experienced multi-skilled worker with instrument/electrical and mechanical skills

* Petrochemical experience

* Onshore pipeline experience

* Cathodic protection systems
