Customer Service Manager, SOCOTEC, Bretby, Burton on Trent


To support our ambitious growth plans, SOCOTEC has a great opportunity to join our Environmental Chemistry department which specialises in the testing and analysis of soils, waters, leachates, effluents, industrial wastes and marine sediments from our accredited laboratories in Burton on Trent. Operating from state-of-the-art laboratories holding fully comprehensive ISO17025 and MCERTS accreditations, we are able to meet the standards that our clients require. We are passionate about providing a high quality, reliable and flexible service.

We’re looking for a Customer Service Manager to join our Environmental Science Division, who will:

Provide excellent customer service from collection of samples and the provision of timely and accurate reports and information

Administer proactive account management and ensure timely invoicing & payments and improve cash collections.

Oversee customer delivery and work with production to support on time to the market TATs, achieving budgeted EBITDA by managing the staff and resources within quality, cost and delivery expectation

Proven customer service and management experience in a fast paced environment

Experience in handling conflict and creating a positive outcome through effective negotiation

IT literate with experience of Excel, Word and other IT packages

Good communication at all levels with good organisational skills
