Position Summary:
In this role, attention to detail and accuracy are critical to success! This position will manage the input of incoming daily documents. As a Data Specialist you will examine certificates of insurance, analyze existing information and, if needed, update certificates of insurance.

Essential Job Functions:
Sorts, notes and inputs incoming insurance documentation, including certificates of insurance, reinstatement notices and/or cancellation notices

Update vendor accounts with information obtained from insurance documentation and notes vendor accounts with any discrepancies found while processing documentation

Ensures accuracy of all data entered while processing as well as the resulting status of an account once processing is complete

Contacts insurance agents and/or vendors via fax, email and/or phone to request additional insurance documentation and/or revisions to insurance documentation previously received

Corrects mistakes made during processing (as discovered by Data Auditors) in a timely manner

Processes documentation sent from Customer Support Representatives within the same business day and follows up after processing is complete

Expected to regularly meet quotas for daily documentation processing. Quota will be set by direct supervisor and determined based upon partner’s length of employment and with consideration for all additional tasks that are expected to be completed

Expected to learn and be familiar with each client’s unique requirements and be able to fill in for any absent partner with the same title

Assist in Training new or existing partners

Working from a “compliance list,” follow-up with insurance agents and/or vendors via fax, email and/or phone regarding revisions required to certify vendor accounts

Position Requirements:
High school diploma is preferred

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working in a fast-paced environment

Displays strong customer service skills in all settings

Demonstrates attention to detail, and superior quality of work and follow through

Professionalism and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Displays a sense of urgency and utilizes solid time management skills, while meeting or exceeding deadlines

Accountability and reliability are essential requirements for this role; displays an excellent work ethic
