Job Description

Data Warehousing Consultant (Job Opening 452952) – POSITION SUMMARY Contributes strategic vision and serves as the top-level technical contributor and lead for the most complex data warehousing initiatives in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Leads the data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. Designs and develops the most complex Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes for the data warehouse. Reviews data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy. Leads the troubleshooting and tuning of existing data warehouse applications. Leads the development, maintenance and support of complex enterprise data warehouse systems and corresponding data marts. Creates new or enhanced components of the data warehouse. Undertakes the most complex data warehouse issues/projects involving high risk to the organization or that have an impact to multiple business units/entities. Recognized across the organization for data warehousing expertise. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties of this position are performed with full competency and under minimal supervision of management personnel. All assignments will be completed independently, subject to periodic review and approval of managers.

Education and Experience

-A college degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience -Typically have 8 or more years of experience in Information Technology (preferably experience in Data Warehousing) -Ability to manage the large complex projects/initiatives that involve high risk and great impact for the company -Ability to serve as a top level technical expert for the discipline of data warehouse and database analysis -Ability to develop and apply innovative approaches and strategies to data warehousing problems and opportunities -Experience with data modeling tools (Erwin preferred) and RDBMS (Oracle 9i and above preferred) -Strong project and process management skills.
