Job Description

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting to 9 Decontamination Technician positions for our Decontamination Services unit based in Enfield.


The unit opened in June 2019 and is the largest NHS decontamination facility in the UK , as our business continues to grow we need to expand our team of technicians. We have the capacity to reprocess 14 million surgical instruments and 140,000 flexible endoscopes a year and we provide a service to NHS and Private Hospitals.

Your role will be to assist in the day to day production, issue and distribution of medical devices required for clinical use . Technicians are required to follow demonstrated training and work instructions to ensure production is to a high standard. You will have the opportunity to gain recognised decontamination qualifications together with plenty of opportunity for career progression.

The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00 and you will receive an enhancement of pay for working unsociable hours.

The hours are 37.5 a week but flexibility is a must for this role as shift times can change depending on the work load, reasonable notice will be given if this is required. On joining you will be entitled to 27 days paid holiday a year.

You will be a valued member of the team assisting our clinical colleagues by providing them with decontaminated medical devices to enable them to care for patients.
