Develop and implement the e1337 Training strategy and business plan.

Work with the Center’s Executive Director and other key stakeholders to define/update the e1337 Training mission, strategic goals, and implementation plans that align with supported organizations’ requirements and support the Georgia Cyber Center training and workforce development lines of effort.

Lead a team of cybersecurity and administrative experts that provide professional cybersecurity training to a multitude of partners and customers, to include government, academic, and private section clients.

Responsible for the development of and adherence to the principles and best practices of education and training.

Develop and deliver appropriate training courses that meet customer requirements.

Serve as subject matter experts to the community.

Maintain a hospitable work environment and culture that encourages participation, collaboration, collegiality, and innovation.

Empower subordinates by providing the proper resources, guidance, mentorship, responsibility, and accountability.

Identify and manage appropriate customer and partner relationships.

Work with Augusta University, Augusta Technical College, the Georgia Cyber Center’s staff, and other stakeholders to ensure e1337 Training capabilities meet customer requirements and expectations. In collaboration with the Director of Outreach and Marketing and the Augusta University Director of Corporate Relations, identify and foster both client and partner relationships necessary for e1337 Training success.

Oversee and implement appropriate resources to ensure successful e1337 Training operations in conjunction with Georgia Cyber Center Business Operations.

Develop and execute an annual e1337 Training budget. Work with appropriate Georgie Cyber Center staff to develop and execute business plans that help maintain and expand relevant training and related workforce development programs.

Oversee the procurement and management of applicable training resources, to include learning management system, software license, etc.

Perform other projects/duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a field of study relevant to information and cybersecurity, with 4 years of relevant years experience


Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a field of study relevant to information and cybersecurity with 7 years of relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications

Certified cybersecurity trainer

Industry experience in cybersecurity, information security, or risk management

Experience in creating cyber training, and competitions (including offense and defense competition, detection & defense, response & recovery, product development & testing, evaluation & benchmarking)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Demonstrated ability to to oversee, collaborate with, and motivate peers, staff, and community partners

Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity industry and practice

Strong organizational skills including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation

Strong oral and written communications skills

Demonstrated fluency in NIST/NICE framework

Appropriate certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or other relevant industry certifications
