Databricks provides a big data and analytics platform for the world’s leading companies, and we are achieving unprecedented growth. As we scale our processes need to evolve and become world-class, and we are forming an operations office in product management to ensure this happens. You will run the operations office for Databricks product management. This entails owning the cross functional processes that drive the SDLC with engineering, ensuring all functions of the company are on the same page, and ensuring the delivery of key projects from inception to customer success. It will begin as a small team and scale with the company.

Within our entrepreneurial culture, you will get challenging projects done on time, deeply impacting Databricks success. You will work closely with engineering, requiring a technical background and aptitude to understand dependencies and tradeoffs. You will work closely with C-level stakeholders at Databricks, our partners, and our customers. You will be an expert in program management, having delivered complex projects at scale. You will lead by example, and grow and nurture the Program Management team.


Provide program management for company-level programs

Work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Sales & CS to establish and maintain processes

Own the Azure Databricks mission in product, as well as other similar BD programs, being accountable together with product for delivery and business outcomes

Communicate to the company that status of the programs above (via email, presentations at all hands, etc.)

Own and evolve metrics for program success/failure. Analyze and create dashboards for key metrics.


Have experience driving complex cross-functional projects at deeply technical software companies

Have CS, engineering, or equivalent background; able to understand technical dependencies

Can communicate with audiences of varying technical capabilities, from CxOs to software engineers

Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities in the face of ambiguity.

Listen well. You build consensus by default, but can drive hard decisions when you have to. You push the pace. You take the blame and pass on praise.

Entrepreneurial, “can do” attitude, ability and willingness to make an impact in a start-up organization.

Experience working at a SaaS company or product.
