Position Overview:
Imagine starting your day knowing you have routine tasks to accomplish but also knowing that there is a certain amount of uncertainty to your workday. You have a plan in place to develop, implement and maintain Inland’s tactical sales plan. You check your watch and see that your flight is about to board. You have a client meeting this afternoon with the Geneva airport authority. Which reminds you; there are some RFP’s that you should work on during the flight to ensure that the Inland brand is maximized with their target audience. All while keeping in mind that you also have some sales forecasting and budgeting to do by the end of the week.

You are the Director of Sales working with Inland Technologies; your greatest asset is being able to think fast and adapt to changing plans supported by your communication skills that allow you to effectively establish and nurture key client relationships with airport authorities, airlines, and other potential non-airport business customers. You are responsible and accountable for implementing all strategic sales activities that are set by company Executive Management and owners. A proactive, strategic thinker, you use your keen awareness and understanding o new environmental technology and trends to help achieve Inland’s sales goals and objective. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work well under pressure, demonstrating the ability to manage and prioritize your workload. Open communication and your ability to represent our company in a courteous and professional way and maintain good relations is critical.

Please Note: This position requires extensive domestic and international travel.

Collaborate with operations to ensure that sales opportunities are identified, targets are set and goals are attained;

Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of potential customers in a highly competitive market;

Ensure every customer has a positive experience throughout the sales process by providing thorough communication and timely feedback;

Develop effective relationships within the organization and the aviation community;

Identify new ways to build awareness of the Inland Technologies brand and raise our profile in the communities we live and work in;

Other duties as assigned by management.

Multi-lingual communication skills preferred;

Relevant post-secondary education or a combination of education and experience;

Related industry experience and/or time spent in an industry that sells directly to airport authorities and/or airlines is considered an asset;

Comprehensive understanding of ADF reclamation and recycling, ground handling, and aircraft deicing;

Experience managing an RFP submission process and aviation procurement process;

Ability to drive business and develop key relationships with a broad range of complex decision makers;

Excellent communicator, using both verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas;

Positive and proactive contributor who is capable of interacting with varying personalities and all levels of internal and external stakeholders;

Ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines and must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize; and attend/participate in meetings presenting a team player approach;

Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to manage several competing tasks and demands simultaneously.
