About the role:

If so, read on to find out about this exciting opportunity to lead a team of patient support services staff in Bourke.
This position is responsible for the service delivery of patient support services including food service operations, food safety compliance and reporting, environmental services, cleaning and waste management compliance auditing and reporting, laundering and linen services and supply for the health facility.
In this role you will join a dynamic team of health professionals delivering health care to some of our state’s most rural and remote populations, making this an interesting and ‘no day is ever the same’ job.
We are offering a suitable candidate one-month of free accommodation for someone outside of the Bourke area to move to take on this exciting role. We will also mentor you through the position and will offer a suitable candidate a training and development package to help build and strengthen your skills to grow and develop in this role.

Where you’ll be working:
Bourke is 370 kilometers northwest of Dubbo and 136 kilometers south of the Queensland border, situated on the banks of the beautiful Darling River.
Bourke has a population of just under 2000 people which comprises 38 per cent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population, substantially higher than the state average of 2.9 per cent making Bourke a unique and rewarding place to work.
The Bourke Multipurpose Service (MPS) has 35 beds, 15 of which are residential aged care. The facility has 24-hour emergency care, acute and sub-acute/non-acute services including rehabilitation and palliative care, ante-natal and post-natal services, elective surgical services, ambulatory care, renal, outpatient and visiting specialist services and a range of primary and community health services including child and family health and mental health, drug and alcohol services.
WNSWLHD is the largest employer in the region, with over 7,700 dedicated staff working across 3 major rural referral hospitals, 50 community health centres, numerous corporate and executive offices and 38 inpatient facilities – which include 25 multipurpose services and 4 district health services.
