Job Description

Currently we are looking for candidates for:
Equipment Manager (m/w/d) Industrial Water Treatment

Location: Home based, preferably in the Krefeld area, Germany

Contract Type: permanent full time role

This position plays an integral role supporting the EMEA Equipment Sales team strategy for Europe North Area.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Engineering team from the beginning of the opportunity/project, help to clarify the scope, identify/assess technical risks, and define the best technical solutions also creating competitive advantage for Solenis.

Supervise and/or take over onsite survey, conception, and basic design by making sure the best technical and economical compromise is reached between OPEX and CAPEX.

Evaluate specifications, check compliance with the PO requirement, set schedule execution and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction and/or equipment installation.

Define technical specification and procedures for each step of the project execution with Engineering team support, to assist the purchase department when issuing a PO to our sub-suppliers.

Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.

Review project specifications and confer with internal and/or external Engineering concerning assistance required such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, evaluation of field conditions, design changes, and reports. Inspect construction site to determine conformance of site to design specifications and equipment placement.

Supervision, overall project management of external EPC Company on medium size projects.

Assistance on existing OM contracts for troubleshooting and diagnostic, managing when needed internal or external resources.

Coordination of local Services request and execution when needed.

Manage subcontractors relationship to ensure Solenis core drivers alignment.

Involvement in continuous improvement approach on existing Operation and Maintenance contracts, increasing Solutions Provider Strategy of our company.

If requested, review plant operations through evaluation of operating reports, laboratory data and visual inspections.

Take over supervision of installation of new equipment at different site interacting with local workers, leading start-ups and signing off commissioning performance.

The Individual

Degree as Chemical Engineer with proven experience in process selection, designing and implementation of water treatment systems and chemical injections packages, with 1-2 years’ experience in chemical applications onsite.

Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 water treatment experience can be also considered.

Have a good knowledge of mechanical, piping, electrical, materials and their compatibility with most common chemicals and specialties.

Be familiar with control & monitoring instrumentation, remote and local modes; DIGITAL as a must for project implementation.

Have knowledge of ATEX requirements and awareness of Hazop/FMEA norms.

Awareness of most used international standards and norms required for equipment construction and certification.

Fluency in both German and English; Dutch would be an asset.

Flexible to travel 50% working time.

Flexible to travel abroad in BENELUX and DACH region.

The successful candidate must have a valid driving license.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
