The Finance Controller is responsible for providing financial support to the Finance Director Europe and the General Manager of the Continent by ensuring that all business decisions are taken with a full understanding of their financial impact. The finance Controller is responsible for ensuring compliance with Group reporting requirements as well as all internal company requirements and operating in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Business Partnering: Support local Finance and General Managers in providing ‘real time’ analysis, in participating in projects, become a trusted adviser and add value that will assist in decision making.

Rolling Forecast and Long-term strategy plans: Prepare, plan and consolidate forecast data for Continent management and Group Finance; Ensure proper collaboration and communication with other Departments involved. Report in a timely and accurate manner. Provide relevant analysis.

Performance monitoring: Develop analyses of variances against forecast and business plans, suggest adequate corrective actions where needed. Prepare KPI’s, track key performance measures for the different divisions and product groups, set up indicator’s improvements, provide customer P&L. Perform periodic ad-hoc analyses requested by management.

Reporting & Analysis: Producing on time an accurate monthly financial report, in close collaboration with countries. Providing the Management and group finance dept. with explanations and comments on the monthly performance. Work with Shared Services to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.

Cost controlling: Formalizing and developing the cost control processes across the region.

Internal Compliance: developing and documenting business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Manage the potential risks and supervise the tax controls in close collaboration with the International tax manager of the group, Accounting Director and Group legal department;

Qualifications

Higher education, university degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Finance management and Controlling within an international environment

Strong financial and analytical skills

Professional integrity and the ability to work autonomously as the financial expert with countries.

Experience in business and collaboration with multi-functional teams.

Good communication skills and ability to translate complex business and financial issues into clear management communication.

Ability to prioritize and able to perform under pressure

Flexible, efficient, well organized

Pro-active and positive-minded

Proven people management skills

Teamwork spirit, easily communicate with team members and other departments

System and process knowledge of HFM, JDE and strong in Excel plus other reporting tools

English Fluent mandatory
