The Financial Strategy & Sustainability Division comprises of three (3) departments: Assessment & Property Revenue Services; Financial Services; and Land, Real Estate & Facilities. Our Division’s Mandate is to contribute to a customer focused, financially sustainable city through strategic, equitable, and transparent tax, financial, land & facility management.

The Executive Assistant is outstandingly skilled at anticipating needs that the executive doesn’t even know he has, bringing a “service and experience” orientation to every interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. In this highly sensitive position, you will have regular access to confidential material relating to business, commercial and community interests, labour relations, as well as financial and personnel matters. At times, this confidential information may be shared between City administration, City Council, committees of City Council, community stakeholders, all levels of government and other agencies.

Our preferred candidate will have significant depth and breadth of related administration experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting an executive. Extensive experience using word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, and related office administration software is essential. This position will also work in partnership with and provide informal and formal leadership to other administrative staff.
