Job Description

Spanish multinational in the consumer goods sector, which distribute leading brands through retail, wholesale and online channels, is looking for a Finance/Trade Accounts Payable Manager interim to strengthen its Finance structure in a time of strategic change and growth.

Goal of the position and main activities
Reporting to the Head of Group Finance & Treasury, leading a team of 3 direct people, his / her main function will be to guaranty the area operations meet the Company standards.

He / she will take responsibility for all the Accounts Payable process, from the accounting to the payment, as well as monitoring differences actual vs forecasted (COGS, Duties, Freight, commissions…).

The main tasks are:

  • Review & Improve the cost definition: accounting and cost centre breakdown.
  • Improve and implement a monthly closing process.
  • Implement KPIs reporting (Aging, Overdue, DPOs).
  • Security and monitoring of Accounts Payable Master Data.
  • Coordinate and report Account Payable cash flow forecasting.

Additionally, the Company has identified the need to increase the level of automatization in this area in order to increase efficiency. The Trade Accounts Payable Manager interim should contribute to the project definition and its implementation.

He / she should work as a team with the rest of the Finance functions, as well as other stakeholders. This may imply to coordinate cross-functional teams in an agile organization.

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years´ experience leading international accounts payable and other finance functions in a multinational company.
  • Expertise in finance excellence centre or in outsourcing process will be a plus.
  • Previous experience in the retail or industrial sector with a high international trade activity is a must.
  • C1 English level or higher.
  • Advanced user of SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • University degree with postgraduate studies in the field of finances.
