Full Time and Part Time Receptionist Positions Job in Paris 7e (75) at American Church in Paris –


The American Church in Paris is looking for a full time and a part time (casual) Receptionist

Start date: upon mutual agreement

MAIN DUTIES:

· Answering or directing all public enquiries – in person, by phone, email and online.

· Responsible for building security: monitoring the main door and the video surveillance; notifying police/fire/emergency services and prefectural authorities in emergency situations.

· Serving as onsite contact and support for all events and liaising with event organizers, including checking room set up and making sure rooms are put back the way they were found.

· Ensuring that building and event guidelines are adhered to by all groups

· Managing rooms in the building: opening and closing them as needed, locking rooms not in use, as well as managing distribution of keys to authorized individuals and supervising room occupancy.

· Maintaining the Church’s Ad Board, including taking ads, posting them, modifying if necessary, accepting payments, issuing receipts, recording ad sales, etc.

· Managing ACP apartments: scheduling cleaners between visits, washing sheets/towels, providing welcome note, updating information booklet, stocking basic supplies, etc.

· Maintaining the staff kitchen, including ordering, receiving and putting away general supplies.

· Weekly collection and laundering of aprons and dish towels from the Thurber kitchen, as well as linens from the various apartments during changeover periods.

· Supporting the Director of Operations, Executive Secretary and Wedding Coordinator as needed.

The Receptionist reports to the Director of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience: Ideally, undergraduate degree and office experience. Alternatively, a high school graduate with clerical training and/or extensive office experience.

A team player with a strong sense of service, professionalism and responsibility is essential. Experience dealing diplomatically, but firmly with groups and individuals is also highly desirable.

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with the public, vendors, renters, emergency maintenance services and other employees of the organization.

Language Skills: BILINGUAL (French/English) – knowledge of other languages a plus.

Computer Competency, including basic software (Word, Excel), internet, and online programs. Capable of quickly learning other software used by the Church (EMS Lite).

French working papers required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: 1,700.00€ – 1,900.00€ per month
