The C.ex Group is currently seeking an energetic creative person with experience to fill the position of a Full Time Front of House Catering Manager.

About the Role…

The role is an active position that requires the successful applicant to work within budgets and to tight time schedules.

You must have strong communication skills to enable you to liaise with both Back of House and Front of House catering staff.

As the FOH Catering Manager you will also be expected to contribute to HR initiatives and attend meetings as required.

Your key focus will be on delivering exceptional service to our customers upholding the C.ex Vision “Our focus is you!” whilst assisting in the smooth running of daily operations and management of staff.

Duties/responsibilities include:
Preparing and adjusting rosters to meet Club KPI’s and budgets for both FOH and BOH areas.

Daily management of FOH teams.

Liaise with the senior Chefs to ensure efficient rosters are developed and implemented.

Assist kitchen team develop and cost menu’s.

Willing to work a minimum of 2 nights a week supervising Catering Outlets and Bars, including some weekend shifts.

Mentoring and performance managing catering staff to develop a strong performing team.

Preparing and executing staff training programs.

Updating SOP’s as required.

Developing and executing sales programs to increase sales through up selling.

Ensuring all restaurants have the correct service equipment to facilitate seamless service.

Liaise with the Chefs to ensure staff are aware of menu items and dietary inclusions.

Be a positive role model for all staff.

Promote and develop techniques to improve and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency card (essential)

Responsible Service of Gaming Competency card ( desirable)


High level of communication skills

Proven effectiveness working to budgets

Proven analytical skills

Previous management experience in a high volume multi venue hospitality environment

High attention to detail

Computer literate and ability to provide meaningful accurate reports

Ability to learn new systems and programs for operational execution.

Experience in change and performance management.

Diploma in Hospitality / Human Resources (desirable)
