Job Description:
The Project Support Officer provides the operational and administrative support for the Student Information System project. This position primarily serves and supports project planning structure to ensure timely, accurate and effective distribution of meeting materials, decision logs, action and risk registers and the production and distribution of key reports in support of the overall project team, including but not limited to project work streams, business analysis, and resource support. The daily work of the Project Support Officer is coordinated through the Project Support Coordinator for the Student Information System project.

As the administrative support to the Project Team, the officer is accountable for the compliance to project governance, advanced preparation and distribution of meeting materials to ensure that decisions pertaining to project scope and resources adhere to committed timelines.

The position completes administrative work for reporting and information gathering purposes, such as but not limited to budget, working group activities, business analyst reports, communications, change management, and external vendors. This position may provide back-up to other Project Support Officer position(s) such as the project support officer responsible for the budget.

The Project Support Officer also provides administrative assistance to the Project Team including meeting schedules, appointment booking, minute-taking, and related tasks.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) year Diploma in Office Administration – Executive, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent;

Minimum two (2) year experience specific to project support, office administration or administrative assistance;

Experience assisting or supporting technology or business transformation projects an asset;

Knowledge of and familiarity with Algonquin College an asset.
