Job Description

The Office of Professional Leadership and Education is looking for a talented administration officer to help us move our work program forward.

The Office of Professional Leadership and Education provides professional advice and leadership across the ACT health system to help achieve safe, appropriate and effective health care for the ACT community. It includes the Chief Allied Health Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer and the Chief Psychiatrist. The profession leads are responsible for providing professional and strategic leadership for their respective professional areas, and for collaborating and providing advice to the ACT Government regarding matters relevant to their professional areas.

Your primary roles will be to provide administration support to the Executive Officer to manage the flow of government business, and to provide business support to the profession leads to assist them to deliver their work programs. We are after someone that has great communication skills and is able to work autonomously. It is also important that you fit in with our positive team culture and contribute to maintaining our upbeat momentum.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until 12 June 2020 with the possibility of extension up to six months. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates.
