You will be the one responsible for managing all activities related to the authorization of our retrofit projects. You will act and advise as an internal specialist and compile the summaries and expertise for the external assessors and authorities with the aim of successful admission/accreditation. To ensure this, you will identify key requirements and translate them in project specifications. Key will be your existing licensing experience and your proven leadership skills combined with a hands-on mentality. Your responsibilities
Leading the complete homologation processes for our global retrofit projects to ensure their approval in compliance with applicable standards
Taking an active, hands-on role in performing and coordinating authorization tasks and preparing the documents for the inspection and the authorities
Translating the official admission requirements into concrete project specifications, this also includes taking on an active role in project teams and participating in the development and evaluation of options
Creating the licensing applications by defining and collecting the content based on formal requirements and submitting them to the authorities
Monitoring of ongoing assessment processes and holding regular status meetings with assessors (notified bodies, country designated bodies etc.). Providing explanations during discussions with the inspection authorities, followed by defining and tracking action plans in response to findings
Being the expert at the interface to all authorities and ensure a good cooperation, this assumes that processes and procedures are continuously being developed and that the applicable regulations are always applied
Creating universally usable templates, descriptions and summaries to ensure consistent processes and embed your knowledge and expertise in the organization
Your background
University degree in Electrical Engineering or Rail Vehicle Engineering
Applied authorization experience and proven track record in managing accreditation processes, preferably in the rail industry
Expertise in terms of authorization principles, experience in applying standards and regulation requirements (e.g. TSI, NTTR)
Pragmatic, hands-on approach combined with team spirit and finely-honed communication skills as well as assertiveness and determination
Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken; additional foreign language skills considered as a plus
Willingness to travel on business assignments (but not regularly, but only a few times a year)
