Our opportunity

The Radio Access Network Compute Hardware unit is responsible for design and maintenance of Baseband and Street Macro products in Ericsson Radio Base Station Portfolio. We support existing and coming generation of digital platforms enabling high capacity and performance to our end customers.

Our design is based on the latest silicon technology with multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards and high-speed series links. To be competitive, we want to be at the forefront of technological development by optimizing our products according to; performance, low maintenance costs and fault-free systems.

We are looking for newly graduated or soon to be graduated engineers within Hardware and electronics design to develop and seek new challenges and solutions with us at Ericsson!

You will work with

Understanding system level requirements and use cases. Interpret, break down and implement them

Digital design hardware solutions and be responsible for implementation, including reviews. Knowledge of radio design is a merit

Design integration & verification

Cost optimization, so sense of TK optimized design is valued

Delivering design with high quality within agreed time frame and TK target

Requirements design and verification documentation

Board Bring Up and functional integration, and cooperate with people from other functional teams; (SW, FPGA, ASIC, PTD, etc) to complete these tasks

Supporting customer and production sites in case of low yield issues

Key Competencies

Experience with Cadence Concept tool

Extensive experience in use of lab equipment such as: scopes, logic- and spectrum analyzers, pattern generator, etc.

Experience with high speed series measurement and simulation

Understand characteristics, such as signal integrity, EMC, thermal aspects, reliability, testability & producibility, pinning and layout

Knowledge of test automation with scripting language, such as Python, TCL etc.

Radio Frequency technology and related circuitry (in the case of Radio Frequency design on the Printed Board Assembly) is a merit

Phenomenal communication skills and social ability

Organized and structured


M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent

To be/recent graduate OR up to 3 years of industrial experience within electronics and HW Design

Understanding and genuine interest of Digital HW based on; Printed Circuit Boards, Integration Circuits, ASICs, FPGAs, NPs, high speed series links, the newest technology of memories and timing solutions

Identify and break down key requirements and implement them

Being able to take full design- and verification responsibility is a merit
