Head of eCommerce EMEA – Online Consumer Goods – €130,000 + Package Job at Recruiters – in Dublin
Within a multinational of >€500M online sales revenues, presence in 11 markets, six brands and a strong track record of profitability, there’s a great opening for a senior commercial leader.
Undergoing a major business transformation programme to ACCELERATE ONLINE SALES GROWTH, the company is expanding its online product range, differentiating from its established retail range.
Lead a core team of four senior trading managers, 50 total within the eCommerce org (in a company of around 1000 people altogether), you’ll achieve success by delivering transformational growth through three key levers: online product range, product merchandising and product content. You take commercial ownership of driving multiple initiatives underway already and driving more of the same together with the team.
Can you tell me more of the day-to-day in this senior role?
You lead and develop a team of 50 commercially-driven colleagues, 4 seniors and their teams
Take a data-led approach, and knowledge of best practices, to understand and optimize drivers of online sales. You must be somebody who brings fresh eyes and innovates. Have a good idea of launching products, coming up with ideas, linking in with Online and tracking performances. You’re helping build out the trading organisation and product-creation within it, asking, ‘should we add a line of products to this existing line or that?’. You’re managing and challenging the website management / eCommerce on the trading side – looking at site traffice, being financially astute to comment.
Commercially, astutely choosing which new product opportunities to go to market with (*which will drive online revenue growth)
Be in touch with all teams Tech, Customer Support, Marketing, Product Management to ensure decisions are aligned across the business
You’re looking at what is new in the market and asking, ‘how do we add that in?’ Research cultures and analyse data across multi geos/products to understand and then drive appropriate actions
Maintain competitor benchmarking to understand and react to market trends

Considerable P&L, strategy and team management within an eCommerce/ high-growth operation | Strong commercial acumen | eCommerce expertise re. traffic, sales, customer journey, lead generation, newsletters, CRM, site optimization | Success optimizing content to drive revenue growth | Exceptional communication and organization; to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the key takeaways and disseminate actionable insights | Proven to lead with passion and enthusiasm – driving the behaviors and activities of those who work directly with you and those who don’t | Fluent spoken and written English, secondary language is a plus | Relevant undergraduate degree from a leading university
