You will lead acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and multi-channel strategies. You will play a critical leadership role in ensuring SVBs Marketing Strategies across segments and sectors are delivered in a connected, modern and consistent way across channels. As a proven and collaborative digital leader who can drive growth across the entire client journey (e.g. acquisition, conversion and engagement), you will balance strategic vision and operational excellence and demonstrate your ability to both develop an annual strategy and execute daily optimization. You will be able to lead in a highly dynamic and evolving environment. You will inherit and continue to develop a function across Channels, Content, Operations, Analytics and Technology and will bring our cross-segment and corporate marketing efforts to the next level. Key responsibilities include: – Provide leadership to delivering and optimizing Performance Marketing efforts, ensuring operational excellence, and maximizing value from technology investments – Establishing governance across Marketing to achieve desired client behaviors and business results – Serve as the strategic leader and voice for all acquisition, activation and retention initiatives (both digital and non-digital) – Drive continual improvement in our quality, thinking and capabilities – Champion innovation to explore new and innovative digital marketing channels, martech and analytics to successfully grow the business – Collaboratively make choices that impact the success of the marketing function, act as a trusted advisor to the business and other teams, and exercise independent judgment with respect to matters of significance – Routinely make decisions on the level of investment required to develop the capabilities owned by this department – Be accountable for delivering performance marketing across all SVB geographies and business segments, including collaboration with EMEA and China teams to support localized activation of SVB Brand and Marketing campaigns People Leadership – Proven leader with ability to motivate, coach, drive change management, and move teams forward – Demonstrated leadership in transforming Marketing teams to operate in performance-based digital models – Establish and build new Marketing Operations, Channel & Content, Marketing Analytics, and Technology teams – Be accountable for outcomes delivered across the teams and define overall direction – Responsible for setting people performance measurement goals with each direct report and provide ongoing performance feedback – Responsible for ensuring direct reports set performance measurement goals for indirect reports that align with business objectives – Define succession planning strategy, including required talent skill development and training Strategy Development & Governance – Serve as the strategic leader and voice for all acquisition, activation and retention initiatives (both digital and non-digital) – Collaborate with the Head of Integrated Marketing Strategy to jointly define annual and long-term goals, business plans, strategic long-term roadmap and key decisions – Actively engage other Marketing leadership to collaborate and influence the brand and experience strategy – Establish and champion governance across capabilities owned by Performance Marketing teams – Drive and enable the team to develop new capabilities associated with the implementation roadmap – Lead the implementation of Agile ways of working and operating rhythms across Marketing Initiative Management – Collaborate, coordinate, and ensure consistency in marketing initiatives and campaigns across several business segments – Champion the need to develop demand and capacity forecasts, evaluating volumes, trends and marketing efficiencies Measurement/Optimization – Deliver and optimize Performance Marketing efforts, ensuring operational excellence, and maximizing value from technology investments – Grow marketing analytics capabilities and ongoing optimization analytics measuring business impact – Be accountable for budget across Marketing Operations, Channel & Content, Marketing Analytics, and Technology teams
