Health Care Assistant – Sevenoaks Hospital/Edenbridge Hospital Outpat Job at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust – in Sevenoaks
Previous applicants from 2020/2021 need not apply.
KCHFT is rated as Outstanding by the CQC, which means we are really very good at providing care to the people in our Community and our staff think it’s great place to work.
We are looking for a Health Care Assistant with a passion for providing high quality care to join our outpatients team. You will be working in our Outpatient Departments between Sevenoaks and Edenbridge Hospitals within the clinical team, delivering care to patients attending outpatients appointments.
The Outpatient clinical area is a diverse, multidisciplinary environment which requires flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn and a motivation to develop your own clinical skills in line with the progressive service delivery, however experience of working within an Outpatients environment would be an advantage, it is not essential.
The Outpatient departments are open Monday to Friday and this role will consist of 5 hour and 9 hour shift combinations between 08.00 and 17.30 and therefore flexibility is essential. The service currently operates Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). We welcome flexible working arrangements, and do our best to offer a range of hours to ensure your work life balance is supported.
Successful applicants are required to have the qualification level specified in the person specification in order to carry out the job, however, we do welcome applicants from individuals wishing to further their knowledge and skills and to gain this recognised qualification, which we will support. So if you do not have the essential qualification for the role, this may not be an automatic barrier to you being offered an interview.
If successful at interview but do not have the essential qualification for the role, we will employ you as trainee and will support you to gain this qualification. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team, gaining valuable work experience and continuing to get paid. Once you receive the qualification you will automatically move into the position advertised.
We are following the current guidelines regarding interviewing; therefore we will be conducting virtual interviews via Microsoft Teams on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd June 2021.
You will also receive a call after the advert closes to have a chat about your aspirations.
We welcome applications from all groups in the community and will accommodate needs and make adjustments wherever possible. We welcome applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds and those covered by the Equalities Act.
