Help Desk Specialist Job at DATCU Credit Union in Corinth, TX

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for providing technical support to end users. Any configuration and maintenance of workstation hardware and software that is needed. Respond to incoming help desk tickets via phone, email, or the help desk ticketing system. Resolve issues by following problem determination procedures and processes. Documenting problems and fixes in the ticketing system and escalate problems according to established protocols.

This position is Full-Time (40 hours a week) Tuesday – Friday, 9am – 6pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm. Non-exempt.


High school diploma or equivalent required.

CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent certification required.

CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent certification preferred.

CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent certification preferred.

Additional computer related coursework preferred.

Experience Required:
1+ year of software and hardware support services required.

Experience with Active Directory and an understanding of basic network infrastructures.

Clear written and oral communication skills with the ability to present troubleshooting steps in user-friendly language.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.

Strong documentation skills.

Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

Analytical problem solving abilities.

High level of attention to detail.

Highly self-motivated.
