Hospitality lecturer Job at PAX College – in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

Position – Hospitality Lecturing experience or knowledge in the Nated Syllabus N456 (National Diplomas)
Working hours – Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm
Own Internet access at all times
Good working laptop and cell phone
Modules – total of 9 for the current semester

2. NUTRITION & MENU PLAN N4
3. SANITATION & SAFETY N4
4. TOURISM COMMUNICATIONS N4
5. EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY N5
6. PERSONNEL TRAINING N5
7. CATERING THEORY & PRACTICAL N6
8. HOTEL RECEPTION N6
9. COMMUNICATION & HR N6
On campus duties:
There will be a specific timetable that must be adhered to at all times. You will be provided with a lunchbreak as per the lecture timetable. The lecturer will be tasked with creating professional academic assessments throughout the semester/trimester. Needs to be on campus in KZN.
The lecturer will be invited to 9 WhatsApp groups and the Google Drive where student academic work is to be uploaded and shared on a daily basis.
One video and One handout is to be sent to students per week per module.
Your video and handout must be uploaded to Google Drive a day before for evaluation. The video/handout cannot be sent to students without being evaluated.
You should present your videos with a clear white background behind you and good clear quality of video. With use of PowerPoint presentation on Windows 10/Microsoft 365.Be clear and audible throughout the video without any background noises.
Conduct hospitality and catering practical’s in relation to the syllabus. Strong skills needed in the kitchen – chef duties. Lecturer will be responsible for purchases of ingredients (company car and funds will be given on those days) and maintaining the kitchen during the practical sessions.
