LinQuest is seeking an Information System Security Manager to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO. The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) will be responsible for performing day to day computer security tasking implementation, working on multiple types of systems.
The individual will be responsible for performing disciplines within security to include (but not limited to): Information Systems (IS) disciplines within the Security Department, working on Information Technology (IT) processes and procedures and System Administration. The individual will have knowledge of Computer Information Systems (CIS), networking, working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (OS), and databases.
Ensure classified information systems (IS) are in compliance with the DAAPM other government directives
Assist with interpreting government security directives to determine technical Information Assurance (IA) requirements
Prepare written instructions to facilitate proper security implementation
Develop System Security Plans, Profiles, Certification Reports, and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)
Develop and maintain certification and accreditation packages in accordance with DOD and DCSA policies.
Provide security oversight for stand-alone networks, LANs and WANs
Perform vulnerability assessments, assist in developing network architectures
Conduct Information Assurance (IA) security education training for system users on appropriate risk mitigation strategies
Perform IA self-inspections to measure regulatory compliance, weekly system auditing, media reviews, hardware/software configuration management, certification/decertification of systems
Perform data integrity containment and investigations on IA related security violations/incidents
Publicize and maintain security directives, policies and procedures
Other associated duties may be assigned as required to support the organization.
Demonstrated Security experience (evidenced through work experience, college coursework, military or on-the-job training)
Experience working with DCSA (formerly DSS).
Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework
Security + Certified
Knowledge of specific DoD standards, Risk Management Framework (RMF), DAAPM processes, and directives.
Experience conducting and facilitating presentations
Experience with scheduling and coordinating tasks and projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc)
Must be a self-starter with initiative to work independently and interact with customer, work with limited direction and handle multiple projects on short timelines
Experience with the intelligence community to include information systems that are used and requirements for obtaining program access
Security+ and Network+ certifications a plus
Experience with SPLUNK or other SIEM tools
Familiar with STIG Viewer and SCAP tool
Associate or Bachelor Degree, or 3+ years’ job experience equivalency
Experience with providing security briefings to personnel
Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
Must possess organizational, accuracy, detail-oriented, communication, and interpersonal skills
