A vacancy for a Virtual Engineering internship (d/m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join then Virtual Engineering team.
Virtual Engineering (VE) involves the structured and standardized application of modelling, simulation and virtualization techniques throughout the product life-cycle, for the main purpose of enabling the system’s design verification as well as supporting the system’s integration, verification and validation. Our team is currently setting up the Virtual Engineering development environment and prepares the VE training material that will be deployed to the European MALE RPAS programme (Eurodrone). Your job will be to support us in VE training preparation and harmonization before its final deployment. You will familiarize with state-of-the-art simulation, virtualization, digital continuity and DevOps solutions in Airbus, while actively contributing to the adoption of VE within one of today’s major European military programmes. You will do so by working in an agile and collaborative environment.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Understand the VE approach and identify engineering misalignments between the different VE trainings
Improve engineer’s user experience and accessibility to VE trainings
Track Training Issues in our issue tracking tool
Preparation of video training templates
Support on video training definition and preparation based on VE trainings and working along with VE engineers
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Enrolled full time Student within Computer Science, Aeronautics or Information Technologies or a comparable field of study
English: advanced level
You are a team player, you are communicative and you can work independently within the provided guidelines
Willingness to work in a multicultural environment
Nice to have:
Experience in Systems Engineering
Issue tracking tool (Jira, Trello…)
Video preparation (Camtasia, Momindum…)
Agile methodology and concepts
