IT Help Desk Level I Job at 21st Century Oncology in Fort Myers, FL
This position supports personal computers and servers on an enterprise-wide basis. Support activities include upgrades, repairs, virus checking, installation, configuration and troubleshooting computer hardware and software and associated peripherals. Both phone, email, and hands-on support required. This position reports to the IT HelpDesk Manager / Director of IT Support Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot remote user issues connecting via Virtual Private Network.
May perform voice and data communication network installation and support.
Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.
Trains users on software and hardware on site or in classroom, or recommend outside contractor to provide training.
Conducts office automation feasibility studies, including work flow analysis, space design, and cost comparison analysis.
Consistently and accurately track, update, and close assigned support requests.
Maintains attendance according to scheduled days and hours and appropriate dress and appearance standards, according to company policy.
Attends mandatory company training sessions as required by state/federal law where applicable.
Position requires hands-on experience with computer system in a corporate IT environment. Applicant shall have strong knowledge of PC operating systems, hardware, networking and applications.
4+ years- Supporting systems and applications in a large LAN/WAN environment.
4+ years- Configuration and support of desktop HW, SW, printers and peripherals.
Experience with the following is a plus:
Healthcare IT and/or radiation oncology systems
Citrix support & installation
LANDesk LDMS and Ticket System
Able to continually learn new systems.
Motivated, energetic, positive, adaptable, and innovative.
Able to work independently with little supervision when required.
Ability to perform problem diagnosis for end users with varying degrees of technical understanding.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills.
Flexibility to perform duties outside of normal job scope.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
CS/CIS/MIS degree and/or equivalent technical training.
4+ years of relevant Healthcare IT experience considered in lieu of education.
Must have minimum of A+ Certification / Network + (or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment at own cost)
Strong knowledge of Windows applications (usage, configuration and support).
Experience with Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, and 2010.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, file/print servers, directory structure, access rights, and network printing.
Experience with Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and 8
Good understanding of TCP/IP networks.

English is required; Fluent Spanish is a plus.
