Labourer, Pipeline Job at AECOM in Fort McMurray, AB

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Labourer with pipeline experience to join our CNRL Horizon project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a full-time position on a 7/7 shift rotation.



Labourers assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.

Responsibilities

+ Cleaning of company vehicles and/or equipment.

+ Loading, unloading, identifying, and distributing materials and equipment.

+ Cleaning and preparation of construction components (Modules, Process equipment etc.).

+ Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Ask required questions and take the required direction to ensure work is accomplished safely.

+ Understand and follow AECOM’s safety management system and core values.

+ Maintain all company tools and equipment to the required standards.

+ Foster a cooperative and positive work atmosphere.

_Conditions of Employment for this position are: _

1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

2. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company’s Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM – O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

+ CSTS-09 (Construction Safety Training Systems) or PST (Petroleum Safety Training).

+ CSE (Confined Space Entry).

+ Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket is the general requirement).

+ Previous construction experience, specifically pipeline experience.

+ Physical strength and stamina.

+ Manual dexterity.

+ Safety conscious attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Ability to work with others in a team.

+ Ability to work at heights.

+ H2S Alive.

+ First Aid – Standard Level C.

+ AWP (Aerial Work Platform).

+ Confined Space Entry Level 1 & 2.
