Brief

An internship in Dechert’s Paris office provides a unique opportunity to work within a leading global practice. Our interns become an integral part of the arbitration team and are fully involved in our cases. You will work directly with partners and associates daily, on a wide range of tasks and cases. We are looking for candidates with excellent academics and a keen, demonstrable interest in international arbitration.

Typical tasks for an intern would include:
Undertaking legal and factual research;

Reviewing and managing case documents;

Assisting with the preparation of internal and client case memoranda;

Supporting the preparation of written submissions to tribunals,

Providing support to the team in advance of and during hearings; and

Assisting with business and client development initiatives.

Required education, skills and experience

Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages such as French or Spanish are an advantage;

Proven interest in international arbitration and a desire to develop a career in the area; and

University-educated in any discipline, although preference will be given to candidates with a degree or practical work experience in the field.
