ECU Library has an ongoing Library Experience Adviser position available leading library front line services across ECU’s West Australian campuses.
Library Experience Adviser– Ongoing full time
The Library delivers services in support of learning, teaching and community engagement.
Working under the broad direction of the Associate University Librarian, the Library Experience Adviser is responsible for the coordination, delivery and evaluation of front-line Library services, delivered online, and at ECU’s three West Australian campuses. The role provides direction and expertise to the Library Coordinators and campus teams in the delivery of these services.
Applicants will be expected to have:
A relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation. Eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to effectively and positively manage performance, drive excellence in service delivery, and lead people and teams in a changing environment.
Demonstrated technical expertise and understanding of existing and emerging library trends, practices, challenges and technologies in the provision of frontline library services to the higher education environment.
Proven organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in enhancing stakeholder engagement and the ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and to produce deliverables within specified timeframes.
Experience with user experience design including identifying customers’ needs and value, managing customer relationships, marketing services to customers and continually evaluating and improving customer services both onsite and online.
Knowledge of trends and developments in academic libraries and the higher education sector.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing position attracts remuneration of $90,220 to $101,090 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
