About the job

We now have an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Engineer to join our Swindon Total Productive Maintenance Team.This role will be responsible for carrying out PPM and reacting to break downs around the manufacturing facility. The objective of this role is to provide support to the shift and reduce downtime through participation in continuous improvement projects, engineering support and reactive maintenance.

Core Duties

·Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance

·Carry out condition monitoring and Calibration

·Have the opportunity to get involved in many maintenance projects such as Continuous Improvement and Root Cause

·Analyse Mechanical & Electrical problems on equipment

·Reactive Maintenance on any breakdowns

·Technical support for any issues that may occur on machinery

·Working to the highest safety standards and following all Health and safety procedures

About You

·Completed apprenticeship (NVQ level 3) in an appropriate engineering


·PLC (programmable logic controllers) skills and knowledge is an advantage

·18th edition qualification preferable

·Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and safety.

·Previously worked in a health and safety conscious environment.

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·Background in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance essential.

·Be available out of hours in the event of an urgent requirement.
