My client is a world class designer and manufacturer, with an excellent reputation.
They strive for excellence in their products, with the ultimate mission to provide the best quality products, on time, to their customers.
The company have one of the most advanced Machine Shops in the South-East.
They are now looking to recruit a talented Maintenance Manager to head up the Maintenance and Facilities Department to maintain machinery, equipment and the building to a high standard whilst ensuring the smooth running of the facility.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance and should ideally have implemented TPM
THE ROLE:MAINTENANCE / FACILITIES MANAGER
Responsible for leading and developing a small team of five ,with a strong hands-on approach
Management of the plant, equipment and facilities
Provide a flexible and responsive maintenance service including emergency call-out cover.
Ensure a systematic planned maintenance programme is in place
Manage a development plan for the maintenance team
Develop the maintenance function to drive up-time and quality improvements
To undertake electrical and mechanical fault diagnostics and undertake repairs to a wide variety of building and domestic services plant, infrastructure and building fabric, fixtures and fittings.
Lead the maintenance department on new equipment/plant installation as well as equipment, plant, workstation moves within the company.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:MAINTENANCE / FACILITIES MANAGER
18th Edition (min 17th)
Strong technical and leadership skills including the ability to build effective teams and develop team members.
Significant experience in an electro-mechanical maintenance role.
Previous experience in support repair and maintenance of conventional production equipment
Knowledge of BMS
The ability to build credible relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation but especially with shop floor personnel.
The ability to work in a fast paced environment,
Strong attention to detail.
A positive, pro-active and flexible approach in all facets of work.
Enthusiastic, self-starter, and able to work on own initiative.
Determined & tenacious.
Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings & schemes
Good knowledge of fault-finding and diagnostics on PLC, CNC and PC based control systems.
Trouble shooting / fault finding and maintenance experience on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and maintenance experience on mechanical and electrical equipment
This is a ‘hands on’ management role – 60/40 bias
