Management Assistant A Job at University of Pretoria – in Pretoria, Gauteng
The incumbent will be responsible for:
Managing the diary schedules of Deputy Directors;
Answering, screening and managing phone calls;
Organising meetings and appointments;
Maintaining an efficient and accurate record keeping and filing system (electronic & paper);
Collating documentation i.e. recording, typing and distribution of minutes for meetings;
Handling all travel arrangements for national and international conferences;
Arranging access and parking for Library visitors as and when required;
Handling arrangements for venues, catering for meetings or functions and other ad hoc event planning tasks;
Assisting with the marketing of Library projects and functions;
Managing ad hoc projects.
Two years’ work experience as an assistant on management level.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):
Computer literacy in the Windows environment and the Internet;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Knowledge in file and records management;
Knowledge in electronic diary and mail management
Good typing skills;
Ability to work independently and under pressure;
Ability to manage time effectively.

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
