- The role is responsible for the continuous supply of materials and maintaining stock levels to support production
Generate material plans and place orders for material sourced from internal & external suppliers
Maintain planning parameters in JDE to support an efficient MRP system.
Liaise with internal suppliers and external suppliers
Responsible for resolving supply issues and managing stock levels as per supply plan.
Actively participate and promote continuous improvement within the Supply Chain department.
Ensure that work is done according to the Standards, procedures and Code of Practices.
Tactical material planning and purchase order placement.
Monitor track and ensure uninterrupted product supply with balanced stock levels
Liaise with suppliers, procurement, supply planning, product development and operations.
Report supplier issues when they occur
Maintain Supply Chain Master Data and MRP Parameters.
Manage new item creation through the product data management system.
- 3- 5 years’ experience in planning of materials within a manufacturing environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
A post matric qualification (Degree/Diploma) in Supply Chain Management or APICS CPIM.
Sound MRP and Supply Chain processes knowledge,
Proficient in MS Office and JDE system.
Proficiency in MS Office software and relevant software for data acquisition, treatment and processing
